For Jeff, Lucas and Jason at Sperm Worms · 8 September 2026

Your welcome flow is good.
The money is in what comes after it.

You asked for the audit. This is it. We joined your list and left a cart on Saturday and kept everything that arrived. Below: what your store sends today, what the bigger brands in your space send in the same week, and what the cart flow and the day-25 email are worth at your prices.

Everything here comes off your own site or a source that is named. If a line is wrong, tell me and I will fix it.

$49.95 one-time $39.96 every 4 weeks $34.97 every 12 weeks Up to 2 to 3 months for a full cycle, your FAQ 2,000+ reviews
1 · What arrived, and when

On 27 July your footer had no signup box. Now it does.

When we looked at spermworms.com on 27 July, no popup fired for us and the footer had no signup box. On 4 September the footer has one, 20% off the first order, with Klaviyo and Alia running on the page. That is the right first move, and it is done.

So the question moved. It is no longer "can someone join". It is "what do they get once they have". We joined to find out.

Four gummies a day. Subscribe-and-save at 4 or 12 weeks. Your own FAQ says a full sperm cycle takes 2 to 3 months. Email's whole job here is getting people to month three.

What arrived · Saturday to Monday

Three welcome emails, one a day, ten minutes after joining

We joined with karthi@shaanks.com on Saturday 5 September at about 16:30 IST. Saturday 16:40: "Glad you're here. Here's your 15% Off !". Sunday 16:37: "Does this even work ??", the ingredients. Monday 16:39: "We went all night", three customer stories. All from hello@spermworms.com through Klaviyo, all into the Promotions tab. That is a real flow with a real shape, and most brands we write to do not have one.

Check itKlaviyo, Flows, the welcome flow's activity for 5 to 7 September.
One thing to look at

The footer says 20%. All three emails say 15%.

The signup box promises "Get 20% off your first order". A popup fired as well. Every email that arrived carries WELCOME15, 15% off. The site banner is running a summer sale at up to 30%, and subscribe-and-save is 20% or 30% off and never gets a mention in the flow. Four numbers in the first week. One of them is your best offer and it is the one the emails skip.

Check itYour footer copy, the popup, the code in the emails, the banner and the subscription price, side by side.
2 · Week one at the bigger brands

What lands in the first week when you join a brand's list in this space.

We joined these lists with the same address and kept everything. These are the actual emails, in the order they arrived, timed from the first one. Two of the rows are cart flows, because we left a cart. Hover to scroll each one.

What the rows show

Two of the five teach. Three chase the offer.

Thorne sends no code in the first week. Honour opens with one, reminds you of it once, then teaches: magnesium, iron, a founder letter, calcium. Ancient Nutrition, Bloom and Everyday Dose open with the discount and keep coming back to it. Both work. Only the first kind builds a reason to stay on the list.

What none of them have

A product with a three-month clock

Your FAQ tells people the swimmers take a full cycle. That is a built-in reason to email on day 7, day 25 and day 60 that the other brands have to invent. It is the easiest first week in this list to write, and none of these five is writing it.

3 · The welcome flow

Your welcome flow is the good kind. It is one email short.

Offer, then ingredients, then stories, a day apart. That is the shape Honour uses, an offer and then teaching, and it is the right one. Thorne teaches without a code at all. Three things are not in it. The three-month cycle your FAQ leads with. The 4-week plan, which at 20% off beats the code the emails keep repeating. And live text: all three are image-only, which does nothing to keep them out of Promotions.

So this is not a rebuild. It is one more email, on day 4, and it is written out below.

Sperm Worms · hello@spermworms.com
Three months. Here is why.
Opening

Hey,

Quick one, because the first three emails skipped it.

The honest bit, your FAQ in your voice
Energy shows up in a week or two. The swimmers take a full cycle, and a cycle can take up to three months.

Four gummies a day, every day. Stop early and you never get to see what month three does. Your FAQ says it, so the email should too.

The number, theirs

One bag is $49.95. On the 4-week plan it is $39.96 and it turns up before you run out. Over the three months that actually matter, that is the difference between remembering to reorder twice and never thinking about it.

Lock in the 4-week plan

PS. If you would rather try one bag first, WELCOME15 still works. The plan is just the cheaper way to finish the cycle.

Why this one

Your emails sell a bag. Your product is a cycle.

Every line in this email is already on your site: the FAQ timeline, the 4-week price, the 30-day guarantee, the discreet shipping badge. Nothing here needs a new claim approved. It just puts the subscription in front of the person on the day they are deciding.

The small fix

Match the footer to the flow

Footer says 20, emails say 15, the plan is 20 or 30. Pick one number for the first order and say it everywhere. Five minutes in Klaviyo and on the site, and the first email stops arguing with the box that earned it.

People who join for the 20%, per month1,000 (an example, you know the real number)
Klaviyo's published welcome-flow average, revenue per recipient$2.65
Welcome flow revenue on 1,000 joins$2,650
At your 4-week price of $39.96, that is roughly66 first orders
Per 1,000 joins, a welcome flow at Klaviyo's average collects about $2,600. Yours is in the game. Email four is there to move more of it onto the plan.
Your price is your price. The per-recipient figure is Klaviyo's published welcome-flow average (May 2024, across their customers), not ours, and your number will sit above or below it. Swap 1,000 for your real monthly signups and you have your own figure. Directional, plus or minus a lot, until we see the account.
4 · The abandoned cart

We left a cart on Saturday. By Tuesday, nothing.

People who reach checkout and stop are asking one thing: does this actually work? You already answer it on the site. Your FAQ says most men feel energy in 1 to 2 weeks and the swimmers take up to 2 to 3 months. Your site shows 2,000+ reviews. A cart flow is just those two things, sent to the right person at the right hour.

The test

Cart, email at checkout, walked away

Saturday 5 September, about 16:30 IST: added Sperm Worms to the cart, entered karthi@shaanks.com at checkout, left. By Tuesday 8 September 13:00 IST, 68 hours later, nothing about the cart had arrived. Inbox, Promotions and spam all checked. The three welcome emails came through in that window, so delivery is not the issue.

Check itKlaviyo, Flows: is there an Abandoned Checkout flow, is it live, and does Smart Sending skip it when a welcome email went out the same hour? Ours did, so that is the first thing to look at.
What that means

Either it is missing, or it is being skipped. Both are fixable in an afternoon

Everyone who reaches checkout and stops is answering one question, "does this actually work?", and your day-1 welcome email already answers it. A cart flow is that answer, plus your reviews and the 30-day guarantee, sent at the hour they are deciding. Three emails, off an event Shopify already fires.

Checkouts started and abandoned, per month200 (an example, you know the real number)
Klaviyo's published abandoned-cart average, revenue per recipient$3.65
Cart flow revenue on 200 abandoned checkouts$730
About $730 a month from three emails that run on their own. From outside, nothing is firing on that event today.
Benchmarks are Klaviyo's, published May 2024, across their customer base. The 200 is a stand-in. Shopify shows you the real abandoned-checkout count under Orders. Put that in and the figure is yours.
5 · The day-25 email

Your win-back is not a win-back. It is a refill.

Most brands write a win-back to people who stopped buying months ago. You do not have to. Four gummies a day means a one-time buyer runs out on a schedule you can predict closely, and your own FAQ says the result they paid for needs month two and three.

The email

Day 25 after a one-time order

"You are a few days from running out. The swimmers are a third of the way through the cycle." Then the subscribe-and-save button at the 4-week price. One email, one job. It is the highest-intent send in the whole account because the person already bought.

Then the actual win-back

Day 60, only if they did not reorder

Asks why, offers the 12-week plan at $34.97 as the cheap way to finish the cycle, then stops. Anyone who bought a second time never sees it.

Sperm Worms · hello@spermworms.com
You are about to run out. The swimmers are not done.
Opening

Hey,

Four a day since your bag landed puts you a few days from empty.

The one useful thing
Month one is the easy part. The count is built in months two and three.

Stop now and you never find out what month three does. That is the bit nobody says at checkout.

The choice, stated flat

You can reorder a bag at $49.95. Or the 4-week plan sends the next one at $39.96 before this one runs out, and you stop thinking about it.

Put it on the 4-week plan

Every one-time buyer the day-25 email converts is worth about $470 more a year.
Every figure is your published price and your published interval. The one number we do not have is how many one-time orders you ship a month. You know it, we do not, so it is left out rather than invented. Multiply by that and you have your number. Check it against your real repeat rate before anyone spends money on it.
6 · Order and effort

Cart first, then the refill, then the fourth welcome email. A fortnight, not a project.

The order follows the evidence. Nothing reached us from the cart in 68 hours, and the cart email is the highest-intent send before a purchase. The day-25 email is the one your product sets up. The welcome flow already works, so its fourth email goes last. Each one earns against traffic you already paid for, so none of it waits on a bigger budget.

Abandoned cartThree emails off the checkout event Shopify already fires. Days 1 to 5.
Day-25 refill, day-60 win-backTwo emails off the order event, suppressed for anyone on a plan. Written above. Days 5 to 9.
Welcome email 4, and one number everywhereThe cycle email on day 4, and the footer, popup, code and plan brought to one first-order offer. Days 9 to 12.

Not built on purpose

Naming these is useful. Guessing at the detail without your account would not be.

Browse abandonmentPeople who read the ingredients and leave. Needs Klaviyo's onsite tracking confirmed first.
Post-purchase onboardingDay 1, day 14. "Here is what week two feels like." The churn killer on a three-month product, and the natural lead-in to the day-25 email.
Subscription pause and skipIf your portal allows it, the email that keeps a subscriber instead of losing them to a cancel button.
Review requestYou have Judge.me. Timing it to day 30, when energy has shown up, is the whole trick.

That is the read from outside. The sharp version needs your account.
